ValorStat vs. Thermostat

Remote Control ValorStat Feature

The ValorStat is an exclusive control feature available on select Valor fireplace models. A ValorStat will automatically adjust the burning rate to match the heat requirement of the room you are in, keeping you warm and cozy in the space you want to be. Simply select the temperature level you desire on the remote or wall switch and the heater regulates itself, burning as low or high as needed to keep even room temperature.

By contrast, conventional thermostats regulate heat by turning burners on and off rather than up or down. This results in fluctuating room temperatures and a fire effect that is unnatural and erratic.

ValorStat Remote Control System

The ValorStat remote control comes in three variants: the ValorStat, the ValorStat Plus & the ValorStat Max.

These remote controls will help you get the comfort, convenience, and aesthetics you want from your gas fireplace.

The ValorStat Plus & Max gives you the power to select, adjust, and program the desired temperature that you want. They also offer a built-in timer that will turn your fireplace ON to warm your home before you wake up and can be programmed to turn OFF after you go to bed. Users can also tell this remote to turn the pilot light ON and OFF, meaning you will never have to get on your hands and knees to light the pilot again!

  1. Just installed 2 valor fireplaces and absolutely love them. We love the fact that no electricity is required, perfect in case of a power failure. I was wondering if in the future you would have a controller that could be connected to wifi, it would be fantastic to control our cottage fireplace remotely.

    1. Hi Ann, glad to hear you are enjoying your Valor fireplaces! The ability to connect to a wifi remote is something we are looking into and hopefully we will have some news in the near future.

  2. Can we get an ETA on the WiFi thermostat? This is a major part of my decision to buy another Valor. The current battery operated remote really doesn’t suit the quality of the fireplace. It’s battery operated, a pain to configure, has a small screen, is not backlit, etc.

    Thanks.

  3. Hi looking to control my Valor Horizon fireplace via Wifi or the remote control. Do you have anything that will work yet? Had my fireplace installed November of 2019 in a vacation rental of mine and want to have the option of controlling it via the remote in the condo or via Wifi from home.
