Timer & Temperature Modes

Your Valor fireplace has a number of options and modes available that will benefit both the fireplace and you as a homeowner. The ValorStat Plus remote control gives you the power to select, adjust and program the desired temperature that you want while the built-in timer turns your fireplace ON to warm your home before you wake up and can be programmed to turn OFF after you go to bed. Learn more about each operational mode below:

Setting the Temperature

To set the temperature of your fireplace, similar to central heating in your home, Follow these quick steps:

  • press the SET button until you see the TEMP (SUN) mode.
  • Hold down the SET button until the TEMP flashes, now use the large and small flame buttons to select your desired temperature.
  • Press the OFF button (or wait 10 seconds) to complete programming.

Timer Mode

This mode allows you to pre-program up to 2 heating cycles per day. Follow these steps:

  • Press the SET button until the TIMER mode is displayed in the lower right hand corner.
  • Press and hold the SET button until the time flashes, to set your desired start time use the high and low flame buttons.
  • Briefly, press the SET button to move on to your next setting and program when you want the cycle to end.

    Thank you for the videos. However, I am still running into issues programming a second timer mode. Every time I run through the steps, and do a verification, my P2(sun) and P2(moon) always equal each other. I would set P2(sun) with e.g 21:30 and P2(moon) with 3:00. However, when I double check, they both are reflecting whatever time I set for P2(sun). Any suggestion on what’s happening here?
