Do come up with a plan for your art before hanging anything on the wall. Whether you’re planning out a gallery wall or just working with one piece of beautiful art, a little bit of planning can go a long way. Consider cutting out paper templates to plan out your layout on your wall before hanging your piece. This way, you see where your art will be placed without putting holes in the wall.

Don’t be afraid to test out locations for your artwork around the home. If you’re having trouble finding a place for your artwork, consider taking your piece of art for a walk through the house and try it out in different rooms and settings to get an idea of where it looks best. This may help you find new places in your home that look even better with the artwork.

Do consider framing your art or picture. A frame can take an average artwork or photograph and turn it into an elegant and expensive-looking item without much work. A frame can highlight the details within the picture and bring everything together to create a finished and clean look.

Don’t be afraid to think outside of the box when it comes to displaying your artwork. When it comes to hanging and displaying your art, you don’t have to go with the normal standard of hanging a picture in the center of the wall.  You could scrap the hanging all together and lean a large picture against your wall, or you could try different heights until you find the one that works best for your space.
