It may sound a little crazy, but did you know you can make homemade ice cream with a few simple ingredients and a mason jar? Now, it won’t be exactly like the ice cream you find in the store, but you will find your finished product will be a smooth, soft-serve ice cream that is almost too good to share. This is a great recipe to make with the whole family on a hot day, and your hard work will be paid off with delicious ice cream.

Ingredients:
- 1 Cup Of Heavy Cream
- 1 Teaspoon Of Vanilla Extract
- 1 1/2 Teaspoon Of Sugar
- Dash Of Salt
Instructions:
- Start by adding the cream, vanilla, sugar and salt into your glass mason jar. Secure the lid tightly once all ingredients are mixed together.
- For fun, shake your mason jar vigorously for 5-8 minutes (this is an excellent time for a dance party with the family). To check if the ingredients have mixed together well, you should see a white milky consistency and the ice cream should cover the back of a spoon.
- You will need to freeze your ice cream in the jar for at least three hours or until it has reached your desired texture.
A fun way to serve this ice cream is to make a few mason jars for each family member and make custom sundaes for each person. Top with sprinkles, fruit, chocolate syrup or nuts!
