Dark Light

While it may not be spring yet, why not get in the mood with a fun, refreshing drink! Now you could quickly go with water or a cold iced tea, but if you’re looking for something a little more exciting, why not make a classic vanilla milkshake?

Most people can recall a memory attached to milkshakes, whether it was enjoying one in the backyard as a child or sitting in your favorite mom-and-pop cafe drinking a hand-turned milkshake. There are many different ways and styles to make milkshakes, but we like to keep them nice and straightforward. You’ll want to use fresh ingredients for the best results and serve immediately for the best taste.

Ingredients:

  • Vanilla Ice Cream (Homemade if preferred)
  • Vanilla Extract
  • White Sugar
  • Milk

Directions:

  1. Combine 4 cups of vanilla ice cream and  2 teaspoons of vanilla in a blender. Mix slightly to combine the two ingredients.
  2. Then, add in 6-8 tablespoons of sugar, depending on how sweet you prefer your shake. From here, you can add up to 2 cups of milk to create a less thick milkshake; however, it is an optional step.
  3. Close the lid on your blender and blend all ingredients until well-mixed. Pour into tall, chilled glasses and serve with a straw!

Whether you enjoy your vanilla milkshake in front of your Valor Fireplace or outside in the sunshine with your family, this will make the perfect treat for any day.
